Donna Kolden resides in Fargo, North Dakota when she is not traveling with her husband Bruce.  Donna began her watercolor painting in the later 1980's.  As a self developed artist, the later '80's and '90s were years of growth, setting goals and challenges.  Donna gathers inspiration and subject matter from her local surroundings and her travels.  Donna has studied with many artists from different areas of the United States.  Always learning in the art field, she has taught beginning watercolor at a local art store in Fargo.  Donna is a charter member of the Red River Watercolor Society and has held many offices within that society.  Her works have won awards in various competitions and can be found in private and corporate collections.  Recently she has taken Chinese Brush Painting class in Dunedin, Florida and joined the Fu Sang Artists' Guild.
